2024 Candidate Forums

Fayette County Republican Party will host Republican candidate forums covering the five contested races in Fayette County, along with the State House District 85 and US Congressional District 10 races. Below are the dates, times, and locations of the forums as well as the candidates who are invited to speak at each. These events are FREE and open to all voters wanting to make informed decisions in the March 5, 2024 primary elections.

Sunday, January 28, 2024
1 pm – 4 pm

at Schulenburg KC Hall, 405 South St. in Schulenburg

Sunday, February 4, 2024
1 pm – 4 pm

at Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Hall, 104 W. Colorado Sky St. in Ellinger

Saturday, February 17, 2024
1 pm – 4 pm

at Texas AgriLife Extension building, 255 Svoboda Ln. in La Grange

All un-contested candidates are also invited to attend these events to mingle with their constituents.

Notice is hereby given that the following polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., March 5, 2024, for voting in a general primary election for the Republican Party to nominate federal officers, Members of the State Legislature, and state, district, county and precinct officers; and for the purpose of electing county and precinct chairs.

Anyone wanting to attend the State convention in San Antonio, May 23 – 25, as a delegate MUST attend their precinct and county conventions on March 23.
